The primary purpose of collecting your data is to improve your experience with the AGv2 drone, MCI, MCS and AerOS and to tailor our marketing offering according to your needs. To that end, we only collect your data for clearly defined purposes. We do not and will not sell your personal data to third parties.

This Privacy Statement (the ‘Statement’) explains the personal information we collect from you, either directly or indirectly, and how we will use it. Personal information is any information that can be used to identify you or that we can link to you. It applies to all products offered by Aero41 or services, for example the Aero41 website, as well as other offline interactions, such as visiting an Aero41 office or attending an Aero41 event (collectively referred to as ‘Services’). Please read this Statement carefully to understand how Aero41 may collect, use, and share your personal information. The terms ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘Aero41’ are each intended as reference to Aero41 Ltd.

We automatically collect information about you, about your use of Aero41 Products and Services, such as information collected by using cookies and similar technologies when you use, access, or interact with us via our websites or app. We may, for example, collect information about the type of device you use to access our websites, the operating system and version, your IP address, your general geographic location as indicated by your IP address, your browser type, the webpages you view on our websites, and whether and how you interact with content available on our websites.

Information of children

Aero41 does not target and is not intended to attract children under the age of sixteen. Although visitors of all ages may navigate through our website or use our app, we do not knowingly collect or request personal information from those under the age of eighteen without parental consent. If, following a notification from a parent or guardian or discovery by other means, a child under eighteen has been improperly registered on our site by using false information, we will cancel the child’s account and delete the child’s personal information from our records.

Learning about Aero41

As you gather more information about Aero41, you may virtually or physically visit a site that we own. Examples include browsing our website, calling our in-house sales representatives, physically visiting an Aero41 office or attending Aero41-sponsored events. To learn more about Aero41 Products, you may voluntarily provide personal information, such as your name and email address during these interactions. Buying Aero41 products

Once you have decided to buy an Aero41 Product, you may be asked to provide information so that we can complete your purchase.

 

We collect: your name, company name, phone number, email address, delivery/shipping address, and other information you share with us.

Why: We use this information to complete your transaction, carry out any follow up with you about your purchase, help with any delivery issues, handle returns, and other issues related to the purchase of Aero41 Products. Processing your personal data for this purpose is necessary for the performance of the agreement we have with you.

Getting help from Aero41

​

From time to time, you may decide to contact our Support for assistance with your Aero41 Products. To be able to offer you the best service possible, we may collect certain data from you or your Aero41 Products.

We collect: This may include contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number, social media identifiers (if you contact us using a social media channel), and the content of your chats and other communications with the Aero41 Support, information about your drone such as serial numbers, Software version. In certain situations, the Support team will need additional data in order to help you solve your issue, such as log files, flight images and pictures or videos of the drone. We will obtain these data only from you when you send it directly to our Support team. We don’t capture log files or images ourselves without your consent.

  • Log files: Log files contain all system data, including but not limited to: the drone configuration, the drone exact position and trajectory, records of the behaviour and performance of drone components, system warnings and failures, in total hundreds of parameters. Log files do not contain any flight images or map data.

  • Pictures or videos of the drone: This is necessary for our Support team to assess the state of the drone hardware in case of physical damage and/or to assess if the warranty applies in case of repair or return.

Why: We collect this information to give you the best and most efficient customer support possible. For instance, for customer enquiries and technical questions, we use the contact information to respond to the customer in their preferred channel (phone, email, social). For technical problems, we use data in the log files and/or images to effectively troubleshoot the issue. For product returns and/or repairs, we use the contact information to ensure successful product receipt and/or delivery. Using these types of data is necessary to fulfil the agreement we have with you. Additionally, we will use aggregated flight logs to improve Aero41 Product’s reliability and security and determine what types of Product or feature improvements would please our customers most, which is our legitimate interest.

 

How we use personal information

Aero41 uses your personal information we collect to provide you with the Aero41 Products and Services we offer, which includes using data to improve and personalize your experiences. We also use your personal information to communicate with you, for example, informing you about your account, new Aero41 Products or Services available, security, and other types of updates. Additionally, as described below, we may use other data related to your interactions with Aero41 Products and Services in order to provide certain Aero41 Services and for advertising purposes.

Aero41 uses a variety of third-party vendors to carry out services like website management and hosting, cloud-related services and shipping (including fulfilling orders for Products or Services, delivering packages, sending postal mail and email) email communications, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, transmitting content and providing customer service. We only share your personal information as necessary, such as to complete a transaction or to provide a Product or Service you have requested or authorized and only with vendors or agents working on our behalf for the purposes described in this Statement. In this case, your personal information will be shared with these agents or contractors but only for the purpose of performing services on behalf and under the instructions of Aero41 and in accordance with this Statement. If you purchase Aero41 products through an official Aero41 distributor, we may share data such as your name, contact email, other contact data, drone S/N, drone software version, warranty activation date, warranty status, type of requested products, delivery address. It is our legitimate interest to share information with these parties for these purposes.

Personal data collected by Aero41 may be stored and processed in your region, in the United States, or in any other country where Aero41 or its affiliates, subsidiaries, or service providers are located or maintain facilities.

  • Aggregated drone-meta data automatically collected and flight logs submitted to support will be retained after the customer relationship with us has ended.

Your rights to access, change and delete your data

Based on the laws of some countries, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, change that information, or delete it in some circumstances. To request to review, update, or delete your personal information, please contact: info@aero41.ch. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Your communication, marketing and advertising preferences

We also use your email to send you Aero41-related notifications, such as promotional messages, software updates, information about Aero41 Products and/or Services, and to share exciting Aero41 news and Product offerings.

You can opt out of receiving direct marketing communications from Aero41 by following the instructions included in every email sent to you, via the “Unsubscribe” tab. We respect your choice, and we will stop sending you promotional emails once you unsubscribe or change your communication settings.

Please note, regardless of your communication settings, we will continue to communicate with you regarding changes to terms and conditions, policy updates, Aero41 Product software updates, routine customer service messages such as information about current or past purchase, delivery of products, service interruptions, data breaches, or other significant information about a Product you own, such as discontinuation of support or safety issues.
